Charleroi's Coyle Theater. First opened in 1895 as a vaudeville Theater. Later became a Movie Theater. For years I can remember me my family and friends going here for the movies. The theater finally closed for good in 1999. And despite attempts to reopen it and now renovate it has sat empty since. Recently thanks to the Mon Valley Initiative I was given the chance to tour what was once one of the grandest theaters in the area. No surprisingly it has fallen into a state of serious disrepair. My son Dale and I spent about a hour going through and photographing the interior. I showed him where we would sit when we went to the movies there, we saw the balcony the basement, the projection room and even took a peek behind the screen. The hour we spent there brought back a lot of memories and its sad to see what has become of this old grand theater. Hope you enjoy the photos and the Video Slide show as much as we enjoyed doing them for you

Lou Ferrigno moon walking on the stage?. People waiting in line to get autographs from and photos with their favorite stars? People dressed as their favorite comic, TV and Movie Characters? Venders selling everything you could ever want? This and more was at the Wizard World Cleveland Comic Con this year. Spent Saturday doing photography on the floor of this one of a kind event. Got to say hi to some friends I've meant at previous shows and see what everyone came dressed as for this show. I'm always amazed at the creativity that goes into these outfits and always love capturing photos of those that take the time to entertain us just by walking around for the day and becoming the real stars of the show. When you are ready for a break from walking around there is always food to eat or even better find a seat and enjoy one of the many panels with stars like Gene Simmons, Charisma Carpenter, Millie Bobby Brown or Lou Ferrigno. So much to see and do its a good thing it lasts for three days. Looing forward to attending in Cleveland again next year met some great people there and as always when I attend this type of event I was so very impressed with the politeness and manners of all who attended especial the younger attendees which does so much to make this show a positive and fun event. If you have never been to a Wizard World Comic con you should defiantly make plans to attend a upcoming one. Check out their schedule for this year at http://wizardworld.com get your costume ready and come out for a weekend of fun and maybe ill see you there and include you in my next photo slide show from the show. Hope you enjoy the photos and video slide show from the show.....Randall Pittsburgh's annual Saint Patrick's Day Parade one of the best there is. Out photographing those brave enough to face the cold to watch the parade (20 Degrees and windy). The weather didn't keep thousands from coming out to enjoy this years parade. |
